No Wind Fun
Things To Do Around Sligo
Sligo is a great place to visit for a few days and there is plenty to do around the area if the wind isn't blowing for kiting. Here are a few of our suggestions.
There are two charter boats working out or Rosses Point and around Sligo bay, the MV Spirit and the MV Sea Star.
Both skippers know the area well and can bring you out to see wildlife - Seals, Seabirds, Dolphins and even Whales. You could also visit one of the islands in the area, Coney, Oyster or Inismurray island. You could try a bit of fishing or even visit the Pub in Aughris on the way home!
Check out www.sligoboatcharters.com or www.spiritadventure.net for more details.
Surfing: There are loads of surf schools around the area. It's not nearly as much fun as kitesurfing, but a good way to pass a calm day!
